Unpleasant cough is common occurrence at this time of year, but did you know that the cure lies in your kitchen? With the following simple syrup you will be able to get rid of cough and restore your body’s energy.
Laurel leaves, which treat cough, give this beverage its sweet-bitter taste. Lemon, on the other hand, gives this beverage its sour-like taste. Sugar in combination with water binds all flavors and and distribute them throughout our body.
– 6 laurel leaves
– 2,5 dl of water
– 6 tablespoons of brown sugar
– 1 lemon
Method of preparation:
Put the laurel leaves in water and cook them for about 10 minutes. Take the leaves out afterwards and transfer the water in a bowl in which you will keep the resulting remedy. Add the sugar and lemon juice. Stir until the sugar is dissolved. Consume one tablespoon of the remedy several times a day. The first day, you can consume one tablespoon of the remedy whenever you get the urge to cough.
Keep the syrup in the fridge for several days. It can be consumed both cold and warm.
