Your body needs to have a balanced oh level. Every organ of your body has varying levels of alkalinity or acidity.
The pH level is in a range of sevens, a pH level of seven in itself is neutral while one greater than seven is alkaline and if the pH level is less than seven then it is acidic.
The more acidic your body is, the more likely you will experience health challenges.
Your body can become acidic due to several factors some of which include;
- Consumption of large quantities of processed foods
- Toxic chemicals
These factors listed above can greatly make your body more acidic and this can lead to numerous health problems including; fatigue, digestive problems and even cancer.
The International Journal of Cosmetic Science in 2006 published its findings in a study conducted where it proved that subjects that had alkalized their bodies were less likely to experience health issues as opposed to subjects with high acidity.
Dr. Otto Warburg a Nobel prize winner in Psychology or Medicine discovered way back in 1931 that there was a correlation between the effects of the pH level of different foods and the overall health of the consumer.
He stated that cancer cells cannot survive in an environment that is alkalized but only in an acidic environment. He also said that cancer cells cannot survive in an environment that has a pH level of about 7.36.
Dr. Otto Warburg proved that other diseases are also influenced by an acidic environment in the body. He stated over a century ago that diseases such diabetes, osteoporosis and even heart ailments are all linked to the level of acidity in the body.
It is paramount therefore for you to identify the symptoms and signs that your body shows you when it is acidic.
These symptoms include the following;
- Having shortness of breath frequently.
- Having cramps and muscle pains walking just a short distance.
You need to maintain a pH level that is above seven for all your organs to function properly and optimally.
Achieving an overall body pH value of between 7.35 and 7.45 is ideal. Cancer cells feed off an acidic environment and will thrive there.
You should avoid processed foods, smoking, alcohol, caffeine and refined sugar. These will cause your body to be acidic and will encourage the health conditions highlighted previously.
You will detoxify your body when you consume alkaline water, this will cause homeostasis as our body is primarily made up of about 70% water.
Try drinking Alkaline water
Ingredients and item needed:
- Himalayan salt – 1 tablespoon
- Organic lemon – 1
- Purified water – 2 liters
- A large glass jar
Note: use a glass jar and not a plastic one as plastic gas impurities as well as chemical compounds that are quite acidic to the human body.
- Just pour the purified water into the large glass jar.
- Then chop off your lemon and add it to your water.
- Put the Himalayan salt next and stir well.
- Place the lid over the glass jar and allow it to sit at room temperature for about 24 hours.
- It is best to drink this alkaline water first thing in the morning and before breakfast or any meal.
- You can drink about three glasses of alkaline water on an empty stomach in the morning.
- Drinking alkaline water during the day us also good.
