Kumis is the best known Russian recipe which regenerates the stomach’s micro flora. Here is what you need in order to prepare this recipe.
- 1 glass of hot water
- 2 tablespoons of honey
- 2 tablespoons of kefir
- 1 liter of milk
- 1 tablespoon of dried yeast
Method of preparation:
Dissolve the honey in a glass of hot water, stir well and transfer the mixture into a large jar. Next, add the milk and kefir into the large jar, stir again and cover the jar opening with two layers of gauze. Store the jar in a warm place and let it stand still for three days. After that, add the yeast, stir and again cover the jar.
The moment when little bubbles start appearing in the jar is the moment when Kumis is ready for usage. Store the jar in the fridge and consume 0, 5 dl of it half an hour before breakfast, lunch and dinner. Repeat this procedure for at least two weeks.
